Petia returns for 2nd symposium May 29 in Ohio

athens23Petia Morozov and her spurse colleagues Matthew Friday, Iain Kerr and Paul Bartow return to Ohio University’s School of Art and Design to lead a workshop and talk that rethinks natural-cultural systems relative to coal mining. Southeastern Ohio is a complex landscape of deep mining, forestry, farming and multimodal distribution networks that cross histories and practices of the past century. How we “see” these systems informs how we activate new circuits of collaboration and research. For more information, please visit Ohio University.

Petia gives talk May 20 in Boston

pic5As part of Berwick Research Institute’s Convivial Symposia series, Petia and fellow spurse colleagues Iain Kerr and Brian DeRosia will stage a talk about culture, research practices and collaboration as commentators of an infamous World Cup soccer match. An aggressive rethinking of these terms is performed and woven through tactical measures of one of the greatest global cultural practices. MADLAB joins the 1% pro bono design program

1p_logo1Public Architecture’s 1% pro bono design program is 100% sold on the idea that design is transformative and transcultural, and so are we. Our goal is to donate 1% of our work hours to pro bono service for nonprofit organizations who share these values, and want to put them into practice.
